Mariah was born and raised in South Dakota. She received her undergraduate degree in Connecticut before attending and graduating the University of St. Thomas School of Law, where she focused her study and professional experiences in the field of criminal law. During law school, she completed an internship with a United States District Court Judge for the District of South Dakota and was a Law Clerk for the Minneapolis City Attorney’s Office where she regularly appeared in court to represent the City of Minneapolis in criminal matters. Mariah has worked in local law firms representing and providing vigorous defense for clients in a variety of matters, including DWIs and other misdemeanor offenses. Prior to joining BBG, Mariah was a Judicial Law Clerk in Ramsey County in the Second Judicial District, where she gained valuable experience regarding criminal court proceedings and jury trials and honed her legal research and writing skills. Mariah currently prosecutes for the cities of Buffalo and Annandale in Wright County. She is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association. In her free time, Mariah can be found kayaking, painting, and taking her dog to local dog parks.
